  • PRODUCT DETAIL

This is a neodymium pot magnet (counter-single hole model), with a precision-machined rectangular steel shell. While ordinary round pot magnets are suitable for unconstrained flat surfaces, the rectangular cross-section is specifically designed for straight channels where round magnets cannot be inserted or will rotate, such as square channels, T-channels, aluminum profile channels, and furniture tracks.

The long sides of the rectangle are formed with guide flanges. This allows the magnet to slide directly into matching slots, with the flanges holding it securely in place. You can position the magnet and tighten the screw without needing to hold it by hand – the slide-in design makes installation fast and truly hands-free. A single 90° countersunk hole in the center accepts standard flat-head metric screws, with the screw head flush with or below the top surface of the magnet, ensuring a clean, zero-protrusion installation. Vertical breakaway is 4–16 kg, suitable for light to medium-sized furniture doorstops, display track anchors, and securing accessories within channels.

Note: The pull force is the test value under ideal conditions (direct attraction to a clean, flat 5mm thick low-carbon steel plate). In actual applications, factors such as paint, rust, air gaps, and thin steel plates will reduce the breakwaway force.

Key Features

  1. Fits Square Channels and T-Slots: The fixed 13.5mm width is tailored to standard aluminium extrusion T-slots and common furniture hardware channels. Round pot magnets placed in the same slot tend to rotate, which would require anti-rotation pins or adhesive to keep them aligned. In contrast, the rectangular cross-section automatically engages with the slot walls – no extra anti-rotation measures are needed. It stays square, straight, and ready for fastening.
  2. Hands-Free Slide-In Installation: Guide flanges on both long sides act as built-in rails. Simply slide the magnet into the slot until the countersunk hole lines up with the screw hole. The flanges hold the magnet securely in place, so you can tighten the screw with one hand – no need to hold the magnet with the other. This slide-in design dramatically speeds up batch furniture production and assembly line operations, reducing handling time and improving workflow.
  3. Single Central Countersunk Hole: A centrally located 90° countersunk hole (M3) accepts a standard flat-head metric screw. When tightened, the screw head sits flush with or slightly below the top surface. The single hole is centred, ensuring clamping force is applied evenly across the rectangular body. This prevents the tilting or misalignment that can occur with off-centre holes, giving you a secure, stable mount every time.

Applications

1. Aluminium Extrusion T-Slot & Profile Groove Integration

Modular aluminium profiles used in machine guarding, workcell enclosures, conveyor frameworks, 3D printer gantries, and CNC machine structures feature standard T-slots along their entire length. These slots are designed to accept T-nuts and various hardware accessories. For maintenance, simply pull the magnet straight out – no tools required. When it’s time to reassemble, slide it back into the slot and it locks into position instantly. This drop-in placement is significantly faster than any bolt-through or snap-fit fastening method, reducing downtime and simplifying routine servicing.

2. Cabinet Doors, Wardrobe Channels & Furniture Sliding Door Catches

Contemporary kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, and bathroom vanities increasingly use aluminium or steel profile-slot frames as tracks and hinge-receiver hardware. The rectangular pot magnet inserts directly into the furniture profile slots running along door frames or cabinet perimeters. It provides a silent magnetic door catch function without requiring mechanical latches or moving parts – perfect for soft-close operation that enhances the premium feel of modern furniture.

3. Retail Shelf Edge Label Rails & Display Channel Systems

In retail environments, price tag rails, product information strips, and promotional banner clips are often made from extruded aluminium channels with continuous slots running the full width of shelving or display boards. Magnetic fixing is preferred over mechanical clips or spring-loaded catches because it allows staff to reposition tags, signs, or banners instantly without tools during store resets. This tool-free repositioning capability makes merchandising updates fast, flexible, and labour-efficient.
